About us

A practice with one focus: the cataract

Why specialise

Focus is a quality feature

Most eye practices cover the whole field of ophthalmology. We chose the opposite path. A practice that plans, performs and follows up one type of surgery, week after week, builds routine where routine matters most: in your operation.

The scope is deliberately complete within its focus. Assessment with OCT, lens consultation, the operation, laser treatment of secondary cataract and long-term check-ups all happen under one roof, with one responsible surgeon.

For everything outside this focus, we say so openly and refer you to trusted colleagues, with your findings and a written report in hand.

Your surgeon

Dr. Konstantin Seiller-Tarbuk

Consultant ophthalmic surgeon (Facharzt für Augenheilkunde und Optometrie) with a surgical focus on cataract and lens procedures. You meet your surgeon at your very first appointment, and the name on your consent form is the person holding the instrument.

Profile and career

How we work

Six principles you can hold us to

Written down not as marketing, but as a standard you may quote back at us in the consulting room.

Continuity of care

The surgeon who examines you operates on you and follows your healing. Responsibility has one face here, at every single visit.

Advice before products

Recommendations follow your measurements and your daily life. If surgery or a premium lens will not serve you, you will hear that from us first.

Numbers on the table

Every fee is published on this website, and every quote is written and fixed. Money questions deserve answers as clear as medical ones.

Measurement before opinion

OCT imaging and optical biometry belong to every assessment. Good decisions about your eyes start with precise data, not with impressions.

Two languages, one standard

English and German are both working languages of the practice, from small talk to surgical consent. Nothing is lost in translation.

Honesty about limits

No operation makes eyes twenty years younger, and no lens suits everyone. We name limits openly, because informed patients make better decisions.

High-resolution OCT

Cross-section images of retina and macula at every cataract assessment, so surprises are found before surgery, not after.

Optical biometry

Non-contact laser measurement of the eye's length and curvature, the basis for calculating your lens power precisely.

YAG laser on site

Secondary cataract treatment in minutes, at the practice, without a new operation.

Diagnostics

Modern equipment, used as standard

Precise surgery begins long before the operating theatre. The quality of your lens calculation decides how sharp your result can be, and the quality of the retina scan decides how honestly we can predict it.

That is why OCT imaging is part of every assessment here, not a surcharge. You see your own scans on screen, and both they and our written findings travel with you.

The medical team

The doctors of the practice

You meet your doctor at the first appointment, and that doctor stays responsible for your treatment from assessment to final check.
